Have you ever caught yourself doodling while you were studying or anxious? What was once seen as a form of distraction, has recently been shown to be therapeutic. Doodling or "spontaneous drawing"has been shown to help decrease stress, increase creativity, and help with memory. Drawing helps us express difficult feelings that we may not be able to put into words because you control the creative process. Remember, you do not need to be a great drawer. Drawing and doodling is about the journey and not the end product.
